OK then, so I'm sure if you've taken the time to read this then you already know that due to some amazing good luck Rach last year managed to win free interrailing tickets, you know, because she's ridiculously lucky.
Anyway, after booking our flight out for July 29th it's all beginning to feel a lot more real, exciting and daunting. Money, time and logistics permitting we're hoping to go to Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Istanbul and Cappadocia before going back up to Greece, up through Italy and finishing in Croatia. That could all change though and probably will when we inevitably miss a train after a heavy night in a dingy Eastern European club which sells beer for 10p a pint.
Having done the traditional lads holidays I reckon this will be a decent opportunity to do something a bit different, which will no doubt turn into trying as many obscure and cheap alcoholic drinks as I can until the novelty wears off. And selfies in front of monuments, lots of that too.
I'm going to do my best to keep this up whilst we're away (internet and time permitting), updating it for each place we go to so if, for any reason at all, you're interested in what we're getting up to then give this a read. That said, it'll probably turn into a list of complaints including why I have to carry all of the bags, why it takes forever for Rach to get ready and how God awful Eastern European trains are. My intentions are good though, and I can't wait to go so hopefully you'll enjoy everything to come as much as I'm sure we're going to.
