Arriving in koh phangnan after a 2hr taxi to the wrong port and then a 3hr ferry crossing over to the island we made it to our bungalow at holiday beach resort. The room was nice enough and had the luxury of aircon and a fridge, although the fridge only worked when you were in the room.. Not much use keeping the beers cold during the day.
The beach was nice but most of the day was spent by the pool chatting to various other travellers.
We went to a party in the middle of the jungle which was intense! However I'm not sure whether that's due to the happy shake I had or just the music and general atmosphere!
The following day although very hungover was the full moon party which fortunately didn't get going until closer to midnight so plenty of time to recover before starting all over again.
We took a taxi or rather a pickup with seats in the back to Haad Rin and joined the other 30,000 people getting painted in fluorescent paint making their way onto the beach. Most of the night is a bit of a blur with a mixture of doing fire limbo and dancing at the various different DJ booths scattered along the beach. I managed to lose everybody I was with within 20mins along with a pair of flip-flops and my just purchased fluorescent fedora.
Made it back in one piece just after sunrise to find the room locked and neither keV or deni in site so slept in the restaurant.. Successful night!
