For somebody who had a drunken as much as I had the night before, I was in surprisingly good shape ready for our day looking around Ho Chi Minh City. After saying goodbye to the lovely members of our group that were leaving us today, we headed out to the Reunification Palace. This was partly interesting as we got to look at some tanks, a jet fighter & a helicopter all used during the Vietnam War. The other half was just looking at various Presidential rooms that the President would use for eating, sleeping & probably picking his nose.
A quick walk around the corner took us to the really interesting stuff at The War Remnants Museum. Here we had more vehicles, guns & bombs to look at. There was also a massive collection of photos taken throughout the war that showed some quite disturbing stuff! The Vietnamese really, really don't like the Americans that's for sure!!!
That evening we had our last supper with Alan & Carly before saying goodbye to them (at least until we see them in Sydney). We then headed off to the train station to catch our overnight train to Nha Trang. Cosy would the word to describe the cabin's that we had to stay in. It was a little bit trickier to get to sleep with the movement of the train & it was noisy at times, but we did our best. We arrived at our next hotel at 5:15am & thankfully we were let straight into our rooms, so we slept until 10am :-)
