Right it's been quite a while since I've updated this and loads has happened but I'll try and condense it into the main bits. Left Laos and headed to Chaing Mai in Northern Thailand. Was Halloween when I arrived so thought it'd be rude not to go for a few beers. Got well and truly trolleyed as usual, danced like a maniac until 5 in the morning. The next day the people I'd been travelling with in Laos arrived and after a further mad night out headed to Pai.
Pai was a much needed respite from the madness and was really chilled out, except for Saturday night of course cos that would have been rude. It's a lovely little town up in the hills North of Chaing Mai, everyone is really friendly, and there's a few pretty cool sights knocking around like a couple of waterfalls and a canyon. After a few days here we decided to go back to Chaing Mai to meet back up with Matt who we'd had a blast with in Vietnam. Anyway Myself and Dears thought it'd be a good idea to drive mopeds the 160k back. Well we picked them up at about 11.00 and one slight tumble later due to slippy road, (don't worry Mum I was Fine), we were on our way. It was absolutely great fun driving up the winding mountain roads and letting rip on the straights until about half way towards Chaing Mai my bike decided that it couldn't be arsed and packed in. One laughing mechanic later I was packed in the back of a pick up truck with the moped and dropped off in Chaing Mai - at least I got a full refund!!
Anyway back in CM we met back up with Matt and got straight back on it. Inventing a superb darts drinking game that got us all absolutely wasted and I can't remember too much else after that but think it was a fun night nonetheless!! The next night it was a lovely 12 hour bus journey back to Bangkok for me, which, with the mother of all hangovers and the gear box of the bus packing in about an hour out of bangkok wasn't too pleasant. Somehow I also managed to tear the ligaments in my wrist which didn't recover after a big night out on the Khao San Road for some reason or other and I currently have a bout of tonsilitis. Not the most lucky week of my life although I did meet an absolutely gorgeous south african girl, nikki, in Bangkok who wants me to take her out when I'm back. Who am I to refuse that sort of offer??
Anyway thats enough of me feeling sorry for myself. Am sure the drugs will sort out the tonsilitis and I'm having load of offers from the local girls on Phuket to look after my poorly wrist so it's not all bad.
