Tonight is the last night I will spend in Loni. These last 11 weeks have been absolutely incredible and I still can't believe that I have had such a great opportunity to come to India and do all of the great things that I have been lucky enough to experience.
The last few days have been full of goodbyes and it has made me realize how many friends we have made since arriving here three months ago. I have realized that I have gotten used to so many things here and I have finally started to get comfortable and have some good friends too. Don't get me wrong, I am still really excited to go home, but at the same time I have started to realize that I am really going to miss it here. I am going to miss the people, the unusual cultural differences like eating everything with our hands, and all of the great experiences I have had here.
Everyone has treated us so nicely. We have been invited to dinner at the houses of some of our friend's; gone to a Bollywood movie, which was an incredible experience; celebrated birthdays; supported our friends at their lectures; and we have stayed up late talking and enjoying each other's company (okay this isn't really true for me because usually I fall asleep while everyone else hangs out around me, I'm not much of a night owl).
This experience has been wonderful, incredible, life changing, and extraordinary. But it's not completely over yet. I have 8 days of traveling to look forward to. We will be going from Mumbai to Kolkata, from Kolkata to Delhi, Delhi to Rishikesh, Rishikesh to Agra, Agra to Jaipur, Jaipur to New Delhi, and finally I will fly from New Delhi back home. I can't wait to see what these next 8 days will bring me, but I am sure it will be nothing short of amazing.
Goodbye Loni, I will miss you
