Today I met Tatiana on my trip to Versailles. She was the tour guide.
The following are the questions I asked her:
Q: How long have you been in this job?
A: I have been in this job for 5 years as a tour guide.
Q: Have you had any other jobs?
A: Yes and no. I have been working on the tour buses for the past 5 years, but before that I worked in the office of the tour agency doing all kinds of different jobs like scheduling tours. I have had many different jobs, but all in this type of work.
Q: Were you born in France?
A: No
Q: Where were you born?
A: Columbia
Q: How many years have you lived in France?
A: I have lived in France for 16 years.
Q: Why did you come to France?
A: To work in the travel and tourist business.
Q: How many languages do you speak?
A: I speak four languages: French, English, Spanish and Italian. I also understand Portugese, but I cannot really speak it.
Q: Do you like you job?
A: Yes, I love my job.
Q: What do you like about your job?
A: I like meeting people from all over the world, like you.
Q: What don't you like about your job?
A: Nothing, I like everything about what I do. Sometimes I don't like the weather.
Q: What is your favorite place to visit in Paris?
A: I have many favorite places. I can't pick one.
Q: Do you know anything about U.S. presidential election?
A: Yes, most people in France follow American politics.
Q: Do you like one candidate better? (My mom told her there is no wrong answer and we are surveying for my social studies class.)
A: Yes, I like Obama a lot. Most French citizens, probably 80 percent like Obama. He is very popular here.
