Hi everyone,
I've decided to write this and give my broken hand fingers abit of exercise as its not long now till the cast is off!!
So we are now in San Francisco as of yesterday, we took the 7 hour greyhound bus journey which was ok but abit boring! We were actually supposed to catch an earlier coastal route greyhound which would have took 12 hours but didn't hear our alarm which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We got here last night and went out to a 50's style diner which had old school juke boxes, a cadillac and a five dollar shake so we to now know what a 5 dollar shake tastes like.....the're amazing!!
Going back a few days to Las Vegas...We arrived in Vegas and headed out onto the strip to sample the shopping, a few hours later and when we were fed and rested we headed to our first casino 'Ceasers Palace'. We had a few attempts at gambling (only the dollar slots) and unfortunately lost more than we won. Though i cant say much as what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas
The cool thing about the casinos are you get free drinks...whatever you want! As long as you tip the girls and play the slots they keep coming back (they get you drunk so you play more!). After a few bevvies and more casino's we watched a fountain display set to music outside the Belagio (where Oceans 11 was filmed) and then headed back to our hotel. The next day we took a look round, the highlight was the M&M factory, and booked to see a magic show, a guy called Steve Wyrick (this is the same kind of thing as David Copperfield). The show was amazing, totally unbelievable..we'l tell you all about it when we get back! The show finished and we had a quick photo oppurtunity with the star then headed to some more casinos, MGM and a few others...7 in total. After losing more money -oops we quit and headed back.
The next day was just a drive back to LA where we spent another night before heading to San Fran.
So now we're in San Fran and we've just being looking round the huge city today figuring out what to do. We're staying in a hostel/hotel which is right in the main part 'Union Square' which is really good as everything is on our doorstep and its busy 24/7. We're planning on doing a hop on/hop off bus and a Alcatraz tour amoungst a few other things. Really though we're staring to wind down ready for our return...
Anyway, we hope everyones ok and looking forward to seeing us, we're both sad to have finished but excited about seeing you all again.
Love gem and wes xxx
