Aptitude tests, upon aptitude tests, upon (you guessed it) aptitude tests. It's fair to say neither of us miss this side of intellectual stimulation. It needs to be done though. Went out with Mark tonight to watch the football and explore the night market in Phenom Pehn; where we ate BBQ'd chicken feet. Kinda not much to them in all honesty.

Yet more tests all day today. Practice practice practice. Perfection was approaching so we decided to jump in feet first and take the real tests (of course Josh acted in a morally correct fashion and never once asked for help). Hopefully all went well and Josh gets the results he's after! Our friend Franzi arrived today too, so it would be rude not to show her around town.

Another awful very long bus journey across Cambodia. The sights, smells and sounds experienced from the bus are awesome as we hurtled through the Cambodian countryside. However we're both jumpy at every screach or honk...not fans of coaches now. Suprisingly. We arrived in Battembong really late, but headed out to find some food. We found a small restaurant where you cook your own food on a small gas stove on the table, sounds great, right? After ordering beef and squid we received beef and...wait for it...bull's penis. Nice. Being the guys we are, we don't easily shy away from life's little challenges and got on with it.
Penis: Chewy, tasteless and downright vile.
Testicle: Strange texture, almost alien like with a repulsive flavour.
First and last time a penis goes anywhere near our mouths.

Last night was the cheapest night of the whole trip at $2 - £1.20! You do get what you pay for though...which was a terrible night's sleep. Up at 6:30am and jumped on a little boat for nine hours to get to Siem Reap. The ferry journey was actually very cool and allowed an insight into rural Cambodian life at the side of and on the river. Entire villages floated on the surface of the water as they have done for centuries, it was an amazing sight. We arrived at SR in the afternoon and had Crocodile pizza for lunch. Like a meaty prawn, unfortunately it was absolutely delightful.

Today we were up at ridiculous o'clock to start our tour of the Angkor temples. We arrived just after sunrise to the most beautiful scene in the world as the sun silhouetted the architectural master piece Angkor Wat. It must have been incredible finding this place after it had laid dormant for so many centuries. The entire place made us feel as if we were in an Indiana Jones film. We spent the rest of the morning touring around more temples, one of which was, unsuprisingly, used in the tomb raider films. Shattered from our early start we slept most of the afternoon.

Today was one of our first very lazy nothing days that travelling is supposedly full of but we haven't seen much of so far. Quick walk around town trying to find something to do, but the place was dead. Its literally just a stop off for Angkor.
