We arrived on the island of Lombok by taking the public (slow) ferry. It was fine. The journey was ok, great views. As we arrived we had a transfer to Sengiggi which was the area we chose to stay in. We didn't pre book any accommodation as nothing decent was coming up online. So we walked around for what felt like an eternity going in an out of hostels, hotels and guesthouses seeing if they had rooms available, checking the rates and taking a look at the rooms. We even had to take a cold drink break in a bar as most places were either too expensive or absolutely gross. We found somewhere in the end which was decent a nice hotel good breakfast too. It was so good taking our backpacks off. We relaxed for a bit then went for a walk around. Not much going on just a main road of hotels and restaurants. Not really bars as its a Muslim island. We checked out the beach which didn't compare to any others we had seen. We found somewhere for dinner and negotiated free pancakes after the meal haha. We decided 1 night was enough here. So in the morning we made our way to the ferry port by tuk tuk and booked a ticket on a boat to the island of Gili T which was only 40 minutes away.
