Sam drove me to San Francisco this morning from Sacramento - it is about a 2 hour drive. Before we left,I made myself a quick roast chicken toasted sandwich for the road.We pulled into Oakland, a city on the fringe of SFO for a quick stop at a camping outlet store so Sam could make a couple of purchases for his camping trip in a couple of weeks, and we arrived at Billy & Christine's house at 2pm.We called them to say we were there, and they said to come down to the AT&T Park for the first game of the season for the SFO Giants against the San Diego Padreas - COOL!!!So, Sam decided to come too, and we made our way to the game!!How exciting!!!We had a few drinks at a bar first, then I went to join Billy & Christine in the stadium for the game.Great atmosphere, and the home crowd were really cheering for their team, as they were behind, but the atmosphere was electric….We ended up losing the game, but was really great to experience my first real live USA baseball game!! After the game we followed the throngs of supporters to O'Neills Irish Pub on the next block ~ talk about crowded - this place was wall to wall solid!!!So, I had a really dodgy stomach from the chicken sandwich I'd eaten that morning, and had to keep running ot the bathroom - Sam went to the corner café and bought me some Imodium - sweety!!! And it relieved the cramps a little, but wasn't 100% in the mood to be swinging from the rafters with the rest of the revelers, so we decided to head back to Billy & Christine's house for dinner.Christine's friend Rebecca, from Washington DC, was out for the weekend, and she was staying over as well.We decided to order Vietnamese takeaway for dinner, and I got changed into my PJ's and got morecomfortable. We went up onto the roof garden to see the view of the San Francisco - what an awesome view.Their apartment is located on Russian Hill in North Beach, overlooking COIT Tower and with a great view of Alcatraz in the bay.In my photo album of SFO there is a photo of me standing on the roof, and Becca asked me how I was feeling "right now", and the photo says it all… check it out!!! We enjoyed the sunset, and then Billy & Sam headed out again to another bar, and the girls enjoyed a girlie night at home, with our take away - Rebecca is a really nice girl, and she told me about how she and her husband met, got engaged and married all within 1 year - so there is hope!!!Anyway, we had a really great evening, and eventually the Imodium kicked in….Sam & Billy got home around 21h30, and Billy was way on his way!!!Sam had a quick bite to eat, and got on the road back to Sacramento, while the rest of us enjoyed the entertainment of Billy's inebriated antics - so funny!!We all went to bed around 23h30, and I was quite happy to have my head on my pillow, it had been a long day!!!
