I was collected from the Best Western Executive Inn in downtown Seattle by the QuickShuttle Coach www.quickshuttle.com which was to drive me up through the US and across the border to Canada. What a pleasant journey! The coach was very comfortable, and even had wifi access, so was a great opportunity for me to catch up on some of my blogging...
The crossing of the border was rather uneventful ~ thank goodness. I had called immigration beforehand to check if I should have any difficulties leaving the US, and returning again, and was assured all was fine. And it was!!!
I arrived in Vancouver at around 5pm on Friday afternoon. Kevin was there to fetch me, and was great to see him after 18 or so years!!! We made our way through downtown Vancouver to Stanley Park, heading to North Vancouver where Kevin lives with his family. The city is very clean, and all the highrise buildings have glass or mirrored facades ~ I tried to show this in some of the photos, so take a look!!
We arrived at Kevin's beautiful home that evening, after picking up Chinese takeaway for dinner. Katrina, Kevin's wife is so lovely. Caleb was very entertaining, took a while to take to me, but by the end of the weekend, was quite friendly to me!! Ethan is such a good baby!! He is 8 weeks old, and such a pleasure ~ Kat sure makes motherhood look easy!!!
Spent the first night catching up on old times, and chatting into the wee hours!!!
