Well, this is it. We have come to the end of our first year in China (!!!!!!!) and we are on our way home. I think I am still a bit shell shocked that it is all over, and that in two days we will be back in Canada, face to face with friends and family, and generally blending back in to the background. THat is one thing I certainly NEVER do here is blend. My friend Bonnie today pointed out that one of her favourite things about hanging out with me is watching people do a double take. It is true, they always do.
Anyway, we just finished moving all our stuff since 7 am this morning, all the way to Ningbo. For those of you who dont know, I will not be returning next year to Luxu and our school there, because Kurin and I accepted positions (yes positions plural) to teach at the School in Ningbo that I mentioned previously. We were planning on staying in Luxu another year, but the principal in Ningbo was just too difficult to turn down. ;) You could say he made us an offer we couldn't refuse.
So, here we are, sitting in our hotel room in Ningbo, Kurin is sleeping and we are going to go out to dinner with our friend Oliver and his parents. Then, tomorrow Shanghai, and then, Monday CANADA!
See you all soon!
