Wellies adventures
Well i'm not sure quite where i got to on my last entry but i have a feeling i was on my way to kroombit the cattle farm. Kroombit was amazing, i've never seen so many bugs before in one place it was teeming with wildlife. On the drive in we saw many emu's with there babies, a whole load of wild bore with there piglets and loads of kangaroo. At the ranch we had some really good meat as you can imagine. We had a go at the whip, which i actually found really easy to crack and even got up to using the full size whip our teacher was using. Then we went on the bucking bull, which is pretty difficult, i managed to stay on the longest out of everyone though, i managed 16seconds most fell off at about 2 after the first buck. It makes you pretty sore though and some of the locals came along, they were amazing and did it with no hands and did flips and turned around on the bull! The next day we went on a muster and i rode this horse that just wanted to gallop the whole time, so i kept having to hold her back. The goats we were mustering were vast in number and went pretty much everywhere. We then did some lassoing and went in a pen, i was very bad at that and ended up catching one by running around with a big loop of rope! We had deano as our guide he was nice, really into country music though. Then we drove down to hervey bay and went to frasier island. We went on a one day tour there are no roads so its really bumpy driving on the sand. Its very beautiful though. The next day, we had a surprise, we went to get on the bus, and we recognised it, there were messages to ellie and rosie on the bus wall.....it was sam! He was hiding at the back of the bus, we were so excited to see each other and got lots of hugs. None of us thought that we would catch up with each other as he was meant to be a day ahead but had ended up taking a day off. So he drove us on our last leg of the journey, first he picked up some digereedoo's and we went to rainbow beach to play them and he told us loads of dreamtime stories from the local aboriginal tribes. Then we drove to Noosa which was cool, very modern, very hot with lots of surfing, we just sunbathed, it must have been high 30's there. Our last drive then took place, we drove through the glass mountains at sunset which was magical and a great place to end us we drove into bribane. Then more farewells to sam which was sad and a quick flight back and now here i am. Sydney was baking yesterday at 38degrees but today it was much cooler more like 25. I went down the boat house and went coaching. I had my first spin in a tinny and didn't crash luckily. Everyone is really nice. Kev, LEH are here on a training camp at the moment! I think they were abit surprised to see my canford gillet! We are going to watch a dvd tonight then bed, i still havnt had a lie in as i had to get up at 6 today to go rowing. Better go. Ellie
