After leaving our lovely Connection bus at Hervey Bay, we boarded the ferry to Fraser Island. We stayed at Kingfisher Bay Resort in Lodges where we had our own room but we had to share bathrooms. We moved onto Queensland today to the Gold Coast. We stayed at Paradise Resort in Surfer´s Paradise. It seemed more laid back than Sydney and maybe this will reflect the further North we go. We started a tour with Connections today an 18-30 group. Our first stop was Byron Bay and after about a 12 hour drive from Sydney, we arrived at Glen Villa Resort. It was chalet accomodation. Chrissy (tour hostess) did all the cooking and we have to take it in turns to wash up! We haven´t done any of that for about 3 months so this was quite a shock!
