On Tueday me along with my fellow classmates headed to Westminister Abbey. This was located in the southern part of london, and we all proceeded to take the jubilee line south, and get off at Westminster Station. From there as we exited the station right in front of you was the House of Parliment. This was an astonishing looking building. It had Big Ben connected to it, and you can see pictures of it in my photo album. After a short walk we came upon the ancient Westminster Abbey. Its craftsmen ship was amazing. It Had scupltures all around it of Kings, Knights, bishops, and all sorts of figures, and this was just on the outside. As we entered the circa 1000 a.d. building you could instantly appreciate what you were experiencing.. All around me was ancient graves of Kings, Poets, Knights, Queens...basically many important figures that I had only once read about..Non the less got to see there grave.. Being in the presents gave you such a feeling its indescribable. My Roomate and I venture around for nearly an hour and a half looking at all of the beautiful art work. It was quite a site. After that we venture home to look at the pictures we had taken and to ponder how lucky we were to be able to go to such a place in a life time. And that was our first excersion.
