Luxembourg is a small country, but that does not mean there's nothing to do. Luxembourg has a lot of museums in fact. The first one I went to was the Villa Vauban, Luxembourg City Art Museum. The building, which was built in 2010, is molded after a 18th and 19th century building. That is also the time period that most of the art work was painted. I saw tons of excellent paintings, but my favorite is called Young Turc, caressing his Horse. It was painted by Eugène Delacroix an 18th century painter. Next I went to a much more educational and slightly more boring! This museum is called the Luxembourg City History Museum. This museum showed the growth and changes in economic, social, political, architectural aspects of the town. But it also illustrates the history of more than thousand years of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Now that was kind of interesting. After that I hopped on a train to Fort Thungen. Fort Thungen is an old historic fortification in Luxembourg City. It was named after Baron Thungen, the Austrian commander. When I saw it looked like something out of a fairy tale with a real moat and draw bridge that opens to a tunnel. I wanted to spend all of my Euros so I decided to go to one more place. So I went to The monument Gëlle Fra. Gëlle Fra is a Monument of Remembrance, usually known as the Gëlle Fra, that's Luxembourgish for 'Golden Lady'. My trip has been fun so far, but the best is yet to come! I am on to Albania! See you later!
