Volunteer hello krishna, this is my review for the website I spent a month at innocent children orphanage, Pokhara, and loved every minute of it. The eight kids, aged 1-10, are all amazing and love having volunteers there. In an average day, we would get up around 7 ten downstairs by 7.30. Often in the mornings we would go into the classroom, and do drawing or the alphabet. The older children would sometimes do their homework there as well. Then dhal baat around 9, help clean up and take the kids to school. All except the one year old are at school or pre school, so when itis not holidays it is pretty quiet in the day. Sometimes we would stay around, other times we would go out for the day, to Lakeside or to see other parts of Pokhara. School finishes at 3, and after that snack time then play until dhal baat in the evening. One volunteer bought a bicycle, and this provided many many hours of fun, but you can do anything the children want. One time I brought down my ipod and we had a bit of a dance party which was lots of fun. Dinner is around 8, then help put the kids to bed, clean up, and off to bed ourselves by 9, ready to do it all again! We also had a few outings, which the kids really loved. We took them to Fewa lake a few times, and boated across and went paddling, and up the nearby hill for a picnic another day. I had a very enjoyable time here, you feel like a part of the orphanage and very welcomed, and also needed. It is a very nice and rewarding place to volunteer, and I would definitely recommend it. re: Volunteering in The Love Company Orphanage!Mazia Ciao Barbara,We enjoyed mneiteg and becoming acquainted with you as well! Thanks so much for sharing your Italy experiences and tips with us and our online community. Your time, recommendations and wisdom are greatly appreciated! With Spring/Summer weather finally arriving in Colorado (of course it may snow tomorrow just for saying this), a Wine Tasting would be a wonderful way for us to get together again. Let's chat soon

re: Children Home NepalLucia My experience at The Love Company orphanage in Pokhara I really enjoyed volunteering at this orphanage. I stayed here for two months. My duty as a volunteer was to play with children, walk them to school, help them with their English, hug them and be there for them in the first place. The children were always very happy and motivated to learn new things. They enjoyed playing games both out and inside. They are really happy when some volunteers are around, they really enjoyed their presence. There were fourteen children at the orphanage while I was there. At the beginning of my stay, the children went to school so we walked them to the school and helped them with their homework when needed. Then we had free time so we could meet other volunteers, go to a café or visit some nice places. In your free time you also can go trekking (depends on season), paragliding, sightseeing and many more. After a few weeks, the holiday started, so children spent most of the time at the children home. That was the great opportunity to interact with the children more. I really liked spending the time with the children, it was a fantastic and a life-changing experience. I would recommend this programme to anyone. It was a great experience and I enjoyed every second of it. It is also very rewarding since you can see you really have made a difference and helped the children a lot. They give everything back twice and you can see how happy and satisfied they are, even when you just hug them or laugh with them. Also, spending two months in Nepal was a perfect opportunity to get to know other culture and a foreign country. Especially Pokhara, where the orphanage is located, is a very beautiful place which most tourists visit and it is near the mountains and lakes. There are many beautiful villages nearby, too. To sum up, the time I spent at the Love Company was great, I absolutely enjoyed it and would come back any time. The children were really happy and I also loved the area where the orphanage is situated. I would very much recommend it to anybody who is thinking of going, it is really worth it and you help the children so much. If you have any questions about volunteering at this orphanage, feel free to contact me, I will answer all your questions – [email protected]

re: Volunteering at The Love Company Orphanage!KrishnaPokhrel Amazing Two Months April 01, 2012 admin Dear future volunteer ! My Time in the Innocent children home was amazing and full with love and child care .I have enjoyed every moment of life in this children home.Kids in the children home are very very happy and joyful with so little they have and fun with nature.Touching them and playing with these kids was just like the real God has come to you and talking to you ,playing with you, sharing many thing with you, loving to you and make you think about our life in the west,When these children in this country are happy with so little they have. It was a great adventure for me i became part of this family, the kids will be in my heart for ever. the avrage day waking up about 7 although the kids sometimes wake up at 6 or when ever sun comes up.They do homework and play until our Nepali friend ,Rajiv, comes and tutor them they learn mathematics,Nepali language ,and English alphabet .Afterall this at about 8.30 or 9 Am we eat Dal Bhat ,rice and lentils, sometimes with tasty locally grown fresh vegetable. At 9.45 I walk the kids to school, when I return from school it is time to clean the big mess.sweeping, washing dishes and re organazing the kithen. When this is done I have 4 hours free to relax or explore Pokhara.Sometimes I go to the busy part of the city Near post office there I do shopping and eat for change.Sometimes I go to swimming in the lake ,occasionally i go to cyber to check my email.at 3 O,clock the kids finish their school so I go to pick them up then it is play time till dinner at that time i am a peacekeeper and sometimes I am a monaster after kids finish their dinner they need to brush their teeth I just remind them ,befor the beds they need to go for pee. If you are thinking about bringing gifts for the kids, toys wount last a week.Better gift is tasty fresh local vegetables, sometimes meat, fruits, snacks to bring to school clothes like paints. My friend Weihan and I bought hens for daily eggs. This orphanage and kids are complete delight.I will be back soon to volunteer again in this children home by the time i come they will be grown up. Max Wang Email:[email protected] USA
