Hhmmmn I'm not supposed to still be here! I should be in Buenos Aires today but there is a national strike.

So I had 2 choices panic get stressed or relax ! hey can't control it anyway! So with my amazing travel agent whose services I would recommend [email protected] my next flight is booked and I have another night in el calafate! So I've found a laundrette !! Mum take note one doesn't have to travel with a bag of white powder ! And I'm booked on another trip to see a different side of the glacier can't wait!

The people at pousada karut josh my chalet have been brilliant there is a reason they have been voted best Hotel on trip advisor definitely recommend smaller family hotels than chains on these trips! I think they think I'm
Their daughter !!

So the delay means one less night In Mar del plata not a problem. Glad it's not next week note to self keep eye open for possible strikes next week! Oh I didn't tell you when I was looking for info about the excursions to the glaciers i avoided the agents as they rip you off quite funny really (or not) when that is my job!! The people at the tourist information centre were very nice and helpful!

I am at the national park at the moment and have 2 hours until my bus hmmm probably didn't need as much time as they give you! I sat and watched the glacier for an hour or so and in that time a big bit fell into the water and re emerged and floated back up the glacier it then completely broke off and floated out to the lake! The noise is equally mysterious it's like the last pieces of pop corn to pop in the microwave mixed with distant thunder and then you don't want to leave it just in case something happens like the 2 penny machine on the pier!

I met some more nice people from Buenos aires it is amazing how well they all speak English quite embarrassing really.

Tomorrow is another day my flight is not until 8pm, it is a good place to be stuck it feels really safe and even the dogs are so laid back they cant be bothered to bark!
