Day 42 - Friday 28th December
Today we headed to Maruba beach for the first time, went on the bus with Sean, Will, Luke, Phil, David and Ren. We had a relaxing day, maruba is very beautiful place and I muched prefered it to Bondi, less tourists clogging up the place so you actually had room to spread out and enjoy yourselfs, we even played twister on my new beach towel, so funny, and took part in a game of frisbee! Swimming was cut sort thou by jellyfish turning up. We stayed there till the sun was going down and took some pictures of the great view.
Day 43 - Saturday 29th
Unfortunatly my day started out with some bad news, the Barn hadn't held my job for me as promised =( so i started my day back at work and travel trying to find a job...again! In the afternoon we took Sean on the ferry to Manly, had a good day, the weather was nice and for the first time in ages it didn't rain on my trip to Manly! Swimming was again cut sort by more jellyfish turning up...guess they must be the season for them.
Day 44 - Sunday 30th
Today was a nice sunny day so we decided to head down to the park and play some football and go for a paddle in the harbour, all was good till i somehow managed to cut my foot on a stick...
Day 45 - Monday 31st New Year's Eve
We had planned awhile ago that we would head down the end of our road today to the Balmain East ferry dock today, where you can see the harbour bridge so that we could watch the famous fireworks. The morning was a bit hectic, trying to hunt down ice for our esky's [coolboxes] as most places where sold out, eventually we found some in liqourland so we filled our boxes up with ice and supplies and me, Steph, Al, Sean, Marcus and Neil, headed down first to set up a spot for the rest of the house. We found a really good spot with a great view of the bridge, so we set up camp there. David, Martin and Phil where next to join us bringing more supplies and we had a very relaxing morning/afternoon lazy around in the sun. Luke, Will, Rob+ Lee came down next with a big saucepan full of pasta for us all, and Lil Rob and his friends turned up to, we all got stuck in, eating, sunbathing, dancing, drinking, swimming, watching the fly bys and sky writing and had a really great day. We watched the 9pm fireworks and then got out our glow sticks and things ready for later. Lousie also turned up which was great as we didn't think she would make it. The main fireworks at midnight where amazing, I'm so glad I have been lucky enough to see them and bring in the New Year with a great bunch of people. I will definately never forget this day. After the main fireworks we packed our stuff up and had a party on the balcony with Ren and our other housemates. Def the best New Years I've had.
