Paris looms large in our family history: my parents met there, it was the first stop on our first trip to Europe, and I eventually got to spend some time living there in my twenties. Now I'm back, for the first time in almost a decade, to the city that is at once forever timeless and yet always new, to remind myself of what la vie quotidienne can really be when you do it right.
