As I was walking around town yesterday I decided to check out The Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments. The museum was founded in Knin sometime in 1893. After WW II it was moved to Split, and ever since 1976 it has been in the building it is in now. The museum has quite a collection of Early Medival stone monuments. The museum also has a surplus of weapons, tools, jewellery, coins, and objects of everyday usage. This time I was close to seeing everything, but still not quite.
After I was finished in the museum I was hungry for some lunch. Once I was done looking over the menu I decided to get a Croatian cuisine. A Croatian cuisine is also known as the cuisine of regions because each region has its own distinct culinary traditions. Croatian cuisines are based on domestic and freshly prepared products. This meal was delicous and after I was done I was ready to go have some fun.
If you are looking for excitment I would suggest the Moon and Rocks festival. The festival takes place in Novalja on the island of Pag. The name of the festival is referring to the textures of the rocks on Pag, and their resemblance to a moon. If you're someone who likes to rock out on the dance floor to a song I would definitely recommend this.
As a person who always likes to bike I thoroughly enjoyed my biking trip through Mljet National Park today. This park is located on a island with the same name, Mljet. The park is home to dense forests, and two saltwater lakes which are interconnected. Mljet was discovered by ancient Grece-Roman geographers. Even if you don't like biking that much there's plenty more to do on the island on Mljet.
To remind me of the awesome festival I went to on the island of Pag I decided to get a Pag as a souvenir. A Pag is authentic lacework. The lacework is supposed to symbolize the island of Pag. The lacework is trimmed with typical motifs which are inspired by Pag's rocky landscape. What's really cool is that I got to see my Pag created right in front of me. I don't know about any body else but if I ever got the chance to come back to Croatia I would take it.
