A surprise visit from lovely friends at the airport to see me on my way was just lovely.it was a long journey but with out dramas.I was fine all the way, chatted to people,watched movies (5),doozed a wee bit and stayed up till 6pm local time.one of the movies I watched had a magnificent building in many of the scenes. I wondered where it was and amazingly while walking around Manchester city on my first day, there it was, this 150 year old beautiful building,I took photos of course and hope today I can go inside.more on that later.yesterday I went on a red double decker bus tour and then wondered around the city ,went to a street market and watched a drummer in market square.wondered about a bit more and took a wrong turn or two but back safe and sound, tired feet after 8hrs walking.
