San Francisco, California
We've had a great few days in San Francisco and managed to cram lots in during the three days we have been here. We arrived on Friday - had a bit of a panic at the airport because someone had moved our bags off of the carousel and I had visions of us having to wear the same pants for a year! After finding the bags we got the shuttle into San Francisco and checked into our hostel. I guess this travelling malarkey is going to take some getting used to. The hostel can be best described as......shabby chic, but it is clean! I'm sure we will see a lot worse and it is central. Here is a quick run down of what we have managed to do so far...
Eaten in China Town, visited Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, checked out Market St, gone on a Cable Car, took a trip out to Alcatraz, experienced the foul smelling sealions, had breakfast in Haight and Ashbury, drank some Margherita's in a bar with some old crooners entertaining us (very pleased to have been bought some drinks by the people next to us), window shopped in Urban Outfitters and Bloomingdales (no purchases - we're poor travellers now!) and lived to survive our many changing room mates!
Well we've pretty much taken in the main attractions and enjoyed it all. San Francisco is a must see place!
Off on our Trek America trip camping tomorrow.
Till next time, over and out!
