Off roading...up a mountain!
We disembarked from the boat at about 9.30am and got back on the coach to travel to Queenstown airport, where we dropped some people off, and then went onto Lake Ohau. On the way we stopped off at Mrs. Jones' fruit stall, which had every kind of fruit and cheese, and also played bus olympics during the journey!
We reached Lake Ohau in the evening, and had another really nice homecooked meal, and afterwards went into the bar, where we got talking to a guy who works in the mountains. He offered to take us to the top of the nearest one in his pickup, so the three of us went with two Danish girls, Mia and Martina, and his dog Maddox! The ride up was so bumpy, and he had to keep putting the car into first gear, but we eventually got to the top, which was 6,000 feet. The views of Lake Ohau were beautiful from there, but it was really scary standing at the top! Once we got down, narrowly missing a few sheep who seemed to have a death wish and literally jumped off the side of the mountain, we spent the rest of the evening in the bar.
