Neighbours Day!!! The day finally arrived for us to visit the famous Ramsay Street! To say we were excited would be an underestimate! Though before we were able to begin the extreme excitement that was the tour we had to pack our stuff up and leave the hostel as we are staying at Amys plush pad tonight after our night out! The tour bus was full of the expected age/sex/nationality - our age/female/british (though there were two older men!) One thing i have to complain about is the first thing the guide did was talk about current storylines!! Now i'd been avoiding Neighbours in Oz so i wouldnt know what would happen when i get back home (im that sad yes) but he went and told us lots of very sad and important stuff! I soon got over that disappointment though when we pulled up to Erisbourgh High School!! Quite funny as our guide whipped the school sign out of the bus and hung in on the gate - we all got cheesy shots infront of course! This is one time i totally agree with cheese! The we headed to the street!! Though i shouldnt admit this my eyes welled up as we turned the corner and i saw that of so familiar street! Was so surreal standing outside all the houses! They looked just perfect extactly as you'd want them too! Though the man who lives in Paul Robinsons house obviously wanted some attention as he put on loud music and came outside (get lost we arent here to see you, your ruining our shots!!)Next we went to the outside ssets - yes we saw Laiseters complex, the coffee shop, Charlies Bar and Laisiters Lake! All amazing!!To finish the tour we met Janelle Timons and got photos and autograpghs - i was a tad disappointed we didnt get someone like a Keneddy but still it was a life long dream to see the street fufilled....!
Our day ended with a lovely dinner cooked by Amy the new gourmet chef and a night at a cheesy Irish pub/club (we had to complete the day of cheese!) Another fantastic day!
