Today we landed in nadi, Fiji at 5:30am and then travelled to our first island for the 'Fiji fling'. I really didn't know what to expect, I just wanted to lay on a beach and chill out after a hectic month in America!
We got on to a boat and after 30 minutes; saw the smallest island! It was tiny! Minutes later we found out that the tiny island was south sea island, our home for the next two days!
We boarded a speed boat to get to the island and was greeted by traditional Fijian music, it was amazing!
We then spent the rest of the day laying by the pool or on the beach. It was so nice to chill out and do nothing. We had a BBQ lunch was really nice, it really reminded me of the food I was given in Ghana last year.
In the afternoon we had he chance to ride in a yellow submarine! It was a good experience and we saw so many different types of small fish. I also snorkelled by the beach; I found it really hard to get the hang of at first but after a while I began to enjoy it!
This evening we had a candlelit dinner with the rest of the travellers on the island, we had homemade soup and a beef dinner. I was surprised at how nice the food was!
Bring on day two.
