Surprise! A few words on the blog about my trip. I have been in Bolivia without my laptop hence the lack of contact. I was apprehensive about travelling there alone after hearing a number of stories beforehand but I had an amazing experience whilst there and would encourage anyone to visit such a beautiful country. I started off taking a tour across the salt flats which is one of the best tours I have ever taken, ever moment was breathtaking. After a short spell of illness from the food in Potosi, which seems quite common in Bolivia, but not all bad for the waistline, I went to Sucre for a week and a half of more Spanish classes. February was Carnaval and I was in Oruruo for the 5 days of the main Carnaval events. The costumes, dancing and music were superb whilst all also was the biggest water and foam fights going on. Being a tourist meant being a prime target and I certainly got soaked by the water bombs and foam many times, day and night. After Carnaval, I went back to Sucre for another 5 weeks and learnt a lot more Spanish, made some great friends, enjoyed the local music, dancing and festivals and found it very hard to leave. Then went to La Paz for a few days before spending Easter weekend at Lake Titicaca.
