DAY 16 - 19 3rd - 5th August 2011
I arrived in iguazu at 5:30am - the first bus to be early in south America - but I had to wait until 7:00am for the people from the hostel to pick me up.
It was so so so cold around 3C and I only had leggings, a top and flip-flops on so I decided to unpack my bag to find some warmer clothes. Eventually, it was 7am and I got picked up and taken to Klein hostel and went straight to bed until 10am.
Iguazu falls is located on the boarder between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. The river orginiates in a city called Curitiba. It has 275 water drops. Normally, iguazu falls is beautiful surrounded by rainforests. But when I visited the Brazilian side it became evident that the pictures I had seen on google did not represent what I was taking pictures of. The waterfall seemed bigger and browner.
Later I returned to the hostel to find that in Curitiba there had been so much rain which has resulted in there being 15 times the amount of water on the falls - which explained the browness.
The next day we went across to the Argentinian side....this was a lot more powerful as you literally were standing on the top of the waterfalls we also decided to get a boat tour which went so close to the waterfalls - it was great fun - there will be a video soon.
But there isn't anything else in the town of iguazu so tomorrow evening I plan to leave to party capital of south America - Buenos Aires for four days.
That's is all for now will update again soon xx
