Hello!
Well i spent a week in Los Angeles after Fiji and had an amzing time. My flight to LA was about 10 hours and it wasnt too bad. Arrived at LAX in the afternoon of the tuesday after already having lived the tuesday in Fiji the day before haha! I gained a day as i crossed the international date line. I had arranged to stay in a hostel called Banana Bungalow on Hollywood Boulevard, my only worry how i find my way there after a long flight! I managed to get myself through customs and outside and found shuttle bus who could take me Hollywood Boulevard. Took about an hour to finally get to the hostel but he had to drop others off first.
Reached my hostel and was pleansantly surprised! The others i had looked at had really bad reviews but htis one seemed dead on. Th location was fantastic, right on the boulevard, 10minutes walk up the street and i was on the Walk of Fame, at Graumans Chinese Theatre and at the home of the Oscars - the Kodak Theatre. Amazing! So that afternoon i headed out for a walk to see wat was about. Went up to the Chinese theatre and got a VIP tour. Tried to find all my favourite stars on the sidewalk and also there handprints in the cement. Got loads of pics to put on!!
Throughout my week in Hollywood i went on Movie Star homes tours and saw where lots of stars live - very cool! Saw Chandler Bing out driving his convertiable in Beverley Hills. Went through Bel Air and Rodeo drive a few times and also took the open top site seeing bus. Spent a day at Universal studios which was outstanding. Got there at 10am and left at 7pm and still didnt get to do everything! Went on many of the movie themed rides and got drenched on the Jurassic park one, although it was worth it as it was scorching and i actually felt a bit ill it was that hot! I was in an audience of Fear Factor live and also went to a show about special effects. Saw many of the stages were popular american tv shows are filmed and saw a scene set from the film War of the Worlds which was incredible! Visiting Universal Studios was a particular highlight of LA and would def go back!
Also whislt in LA, I went to Santa Monica and visited Venice Beach. Seen all the guys working out at muscle beach and all the weird and wondeful people who hang out there! It was an experience. The basketball courts here were used in the film White Men cant Jump! Was really nice...
Have a million pictures for yal to see, hopefully get them uplaoded soon!
