ROCKCLIMBING!wed 19.- sat 22. 8
I was rock-climbing with the year 13 PE class. All the exchange students could goalthough we´re year 12 because when we´ll go rock climbing next year we won´t be here anymore. We stayed at Dunedin Holyday Park.
The place we were climbing at was called Long Beach. It was a quite nice beach. We had beautiful weather almost all tthe time, really warm and sunny.
Dave was our instructor, he was nice and knew what he was talking about. He climbed the rocks without any rope almost every time, I would never do that!!One day Courtney and I climbed like 3 times and then we had a very, very long break for lunch:) ... and the guys started digging a hole :). They digged a new hole every day and one day Courtney and I even helped them lol.
I thought it would be more difficult than it was to climb outdoors. I just never really knew how to start but then after the start it´s good. It´s more fun than indoor climbing. There was one climb, I climbed it 2 times and never made it to the top but then the third time I made it! I was very proud of myself. It was pretty hard. Once I was stuck and didn´t know what to do and Mr Bonner shouted: " if you´re really brave you just put you foot on the edge of that rock and push" it doesn´t sound very hard but it was and I just thought "I´m not that brave but I´ll do it anyway" and I did it :). That was my best climb!
