So to finish off my trip to Mexico City, I spent a few days searching the streets of Taxco for silver, checking out the biggest, deepest caves I have ever seen, playing in snow on the side of a volcano, and experiencing my first Lucha Libre, Mexican wrestling made famous by none other than Nacho Libre--sometimes men like to wear stretchy pants!!
Now it is Day 7 in Antigua Guatemala, I have managed to complete my mission and make my bag even heavier with string and yet more stones. As I am no longer really packed to bus hop around, I made my way up to the Earth Lodge near Antigua and parked it for the last 4 days. And so I passed the days in the hammock overlooking the valley, having a great view of the three volcanoes that surround the town, with Fuego constantly reminding us that it is not quite asleep. I broke up the hammock sessions by playing badminton, volleyball, ping-pong, or cornhole--good times!
Now I am packed and ready to hit the beach, hang out with some familiar faces, and hopefully unload some of the stuff I am not planning to haul around anymore on Darren and being the great brother that he is, he will carry it home...I hope!
So the next time you hear from me I will be more tanned and a surfing master...well probably just the former but who knows.....
Lots of Love
