'Verity's Travels'
Hey!
I've been to lots of different places over the past week as we are having to move on quickly to make our flight out of Cairns on Aril 30th. Before we left Sydney we went to see the beaches of Manly (looked very 'Summer Bay' like to me, very pretty!) and the famous Bondi Beach. Tuesday we headed to the Blue Mountains (which is what the photo is off), they were amazing! Got off at Wentworh Falls on the way home to go and see some pretty falls, but as it was going to take ages to get there from the station and the trains only come once an hour and time was getting on, we spent an hour in the most odd place on the planet.... very small town Australia and to those who know what small town America is like, it was a lot more stange than that!
We left Sydney last Thursday and headed to Newcastle. It's a seaside town a few hours north of Sydney. There was a bar-b-que with a group from the hostel. After food they played some games and I ended up winning some awful pink hat and had to go up in front of everone! Had my first sightings of koalas and kangaroos on Friday and I got really close to them to take some really cute photos of them. Some of the kangaroos looked a bit odd to me!
Saturday was in Port Mcquarrie and Sunday we were in Coff's Harbour. They are quite similar to each other. On Saturday we had a beautiful beach to ourselves. It was quite a climb up and down the cliff to get there (at one point I thought I wasn;t gonig to make it down) but it was worth it.
After a tiring trip on Greyhound through the night we arrived in Byron Bay on Monday morning, where we are now. It's very hippy like but interesting to see and the beach is lovely. Off to Suffer's Paradise tonight.
Well I had better go as get lunch before another afternoon on the beach!
Hope you're all well.
