Well today Nicks wish for snow has come true and we set off in a flurry of snowfall for the Novodevichy Convent. We need to get the metro and then it is about a mile walk to the Convent so not too bad. I do however use the word walk loosely as today I am wearing my entire wardrobe as I was so cold yesterday. This makes walking very difficult which means it is going to take much longer to get anywhere so not sure if this was a good idea. Anyway we got to the convent which was very lovely with the snow falling and had a look around the museum. Once this was done we headed off back to the metro but by this time the flurry of snow had turned into a blizzard (not very nice anymore!!) Despite it being -4°C and a blizzard all public transport continued to run on time, the bins were still collected and everything stayed open (no snow days here!!) Finally made it back to the hostel for a warm before heading out for our evening activity which is a tour of Moscow Metro Stations. This may sound mad but the Metro Stations are all decorated really ornately so we were quite looking forward to it (sad???) Anyway the tour surpassed all our expectations it was absolutely brilliant as the history of the Metro Stations was really interesting (just as well we are on our way home I think as we may be turning into train spotters!!)
