Today we are off to see the elephants we set off early all quite excited (especially me and Sara), this however was soon to turn to apprehension when Sara actually met the elephants (she could not believe how big they were??????) Now to be honest I am no elephant expert but I have seen a few in zoos and they have always been big so not quite sure what she expected???? First off we got to feed them then it was down to the river to wash them and then climb on top of them whilst they showered us with water. I got to sit at the front of the elephant and was soon to find out this was not a good plan, as the full force of the water was going to hit me!! Nick stayed relatively dry through it all which he thought was funny. Next up was Sara and Joey after much screeching they were finally on and Nick and I spent the next 5 minutes laughing our heads off along with the Indian elephant workers as both of them were obviously not happy to be on an elephant let alone getting wet. Nick reckons they could hear them scream from villages 5 miles away. Once this was done we went on an elephant ride which was fab. A fantastic experience which I will not forget (especially Sara and Joey flinching every time the elephant moved!) Spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool followed by a quiet night in.
