Another morning where we woke up on the train after approx 10.5hrs of travel. While we both managed to 'sleep' for the majority of it, this was a piecemeal form of sleep, with announcements over the PA system and movement of the carriage on the tracks meaning we never really got a deep sleep.
On arrival in Da Nang, we jumped straight into a cab for the journey to Hoi An, which took about 40 minutes. We deposited our bags at the hotel and then went for a wander. We began to appreciate the sheer number of tailoring shops in the 'Ancient town of Hoi An'. Matty got some Pho Bo for breakfast, while Van, still not able to stomach Pho Bo after her recent sickness, has a ham and cheese sandwich.
Back to the hotel to check in and catch some zzzz's and then by about midday it was off to the tailors. This process (selecting style, fabric, getting measured, etc) took about 1.5 hours. We then had a nice lunch and Matty was slightly experimental in getting something with quail eggs! We then browsed around a bit before heading back to the hotel via a stop for a LaRue beer. We decided to chill out for the evening, so just had a night in reading and making some plans for the next few days :-)
