It's hard to live up to October's activities, but we've still managed to cram a decent amount of stuff in. Exercise has significantly dropped off after the marathon, but that will have to pick up again with all of the holiday food in December. Work travel for Matt has subsided (which has been nice), but hours have increased so the net amount of time spent together awake hasn't really challenged that much.
The last month started with Matt having a whirlwind Montreal experience with the footy team, with some parts of the night being a bit vague. Van spent the weekend pumpkin picking for Halloween and watching the All Blacks semifinal against South Africa.
The next weekend was a right off after the All Blacks won the final so we'll skip a week to when we hired a car to get out of the city. We headed up to Forks of the Credit which was a really nice drive and had a great lunch at the local restaurant. We also went for a walk and popped into the local cider brewer for some taste testing. We finished off the day with a spot of shopping and Sharky and Val's leaving party.
The next weekend Van went on the girls footy trip which was lunch at a Niagara vineyard and some wine tasting. Sunday night we had some chuckles at Second City which was a lot of fun.
To finish off the month we had an RWA in Montreal and really enjoyed ourselves. We took the train up on Sunday night and flew back down on Monday morning to make the most of the weekend. Lots of nice food (salmon bagels, poutine, foe gras, cheese and smoked meat sandwiches) a few local Quebec wines at a wine festival we found ourselves at and a couple of beers at Dieu du Ciel was a great way to spend the weekend! Coupled with a walk up Mont Royal, a bit of sightseeing and some perfect snowflakes meant that it was a really nice weekend away.
Time for Christmas!!
