It's been a quiet month for us, with the exception of last weekend in Chicago! We flew down on Friday night and managed to catch DMac for dinner at a bar downtown which was cool. Van randomly bumped into her crossfit coach who was also in town, crazy small world! We missed the 7th largest gathering of people ever that day when 5 million Cubs fans celebrated winning the World Series, but the good vibes continued for the whole weekend which was cool.
Saturday was the big All Blacks game and we all met at a Burger Bar close to Solider Field. We won't talk about the game, but out of any team to lose to, the Irish were probably the best option. Made for a good night out that night! We had dinner with the TPG crew followed with some table tennis and then went and caught up with DMac for a nightcap. On Sunday we had brunch at Pizano's and met Uncle Chach who was quiet the character. Made for a fantastic experience! Afterwards we checked out the Bean and wandered along the waterfront to the Navy Pier before flying out that evening.
This week we made sure we represented or roots by interrupting our viewing of the US elections to see Naked and Famous and weekend is going to be pretty lowkey for us (on a bit of a health buzz after last weekend and an unhealthy summer). We'll do some Christmas holiday planning, exercise, a Japanese dinner out on Saturday night and then a roast dinner with James and Mengfei on Sunday :-)
