Nice pictures of Malaysia, Val. Especially the one featuring the budgie. Eh, what exactly was he doing? He seemed to be whispering in your ear. Hope it was a good story. Life here in Europe is grey and rainy. Work is all right though, in many ways so I can't complain. But I do miss the challenge of living in China. Enjoy the rest of your time there and let me know what your next plans are, I'd love to know.

Great pictures, Val. Our Chinese class read a text about Huang Shan a while ago, the next Chinese course starts this Saturday. But it's hard learning the language if you can't use it every day. Wo hen xiang Zhong Guo ... so enjoy it while you can. I'm hoping to be back coming Summer and will drop by in Suzhou in case you're still there. One more thing, when may we expect your next blog text??? I'm sure there are lots of interesting stories behind those fab pictures. Would love to read them. Enjoy Malaysia, wishing you a healthy and adventurous 2009!

Hi Val
We found your site at last but only after Tim redirected us. It sounds like you are having an intresting time with a few more trying experiences. Hope you are well and it can't be long before Tim comes to see you. We are all fine here and therefore there is not much to report.
Best regards

Hi Val,
"welcome back in China" - I wish I could say, but you know I am now back in Europe again. Much to my regret, but rationally speaking it's probably a wise decision; jobs and salaries are a lot better here, but life is less dynamic and less interesting.
I'm happy to read your blog again (or a new version of it), and you can be sure, I'll check it out on a regular basis. Lots of good luck in Shanghai and Suzhou! I know how you're feeling, having to do the same things again (teaching practice, come ooonnnnn) and being surrounded by 'clubbers'. You can beat 'm all (teaching or drinking, that's up to you)..
