We went today for a little shopping tour with J in Helsinki center. After spending enough money we went for a nice lunch in student cafeteria located in the center. I suggested to J to visit Kilroy cos it is situated right oppisite to this cafeteria. I was curious to ask if our Visa-applications have returned already. Also to pick up my and lil-S ISIC-cards. After a nice and cheap lunch at Unicafé we went to Kilroy office.
We didn't have to wait too long to get on the service desk and we asked after our visa-applications. It has been about a month since we left those applicatons for taken care of and so far we hadn't heard anything back. After a little while this nice-Kilroy-guy found our visa-approvals from his computer! It was expected that there shouldnt be any problems getting the Visas but for sure you cannot be sure until you're really sure. Nice-kilroy-guy also handed my and lil S ISIC cards. He promised that we'll have an amazing journey to OZ (like we didn't know that ;).I'm pretty sure that I heard a little bit of jealousy from that guys voice when saying that. But hey, I'd be jealous of our trip as well if I wasn't one of the travellers! ;)
It has been altogether a really nice and sunny day in Helsinki and I just haven't managed to take the smile away from my face. Now that the formal and at least the most important issues are taken care of it really feels real - we really are going. I cannot describe how eager I am to go! But I better try to hold my horses cos it is still 5 months to go.. actually it is 128 days to go.. not that I would count either.. We're not counting.. just keeping on tracks!
OK. Now that we're still in Finland it is time to celebrate the 1st of May (Vappu) with the dearest friends in Jyväskylä.. weheeeeyy! Going to be great time with all the "homies". I just wonder how quickly people get tired of listening our travel-plans.. ;)
p.s. Thanks for the really friendly and good service for the guy working today at Kilroy office Helsinki.
You made my day. :)
