Today was amazing we hiked up a huge lava bed towards and active volcano, you could see spots where hot smoke was coming up from the rocks. Our guide would throw pieces of wood into them and they would start on fire. It was awesome, the vistas were pretty amazing as well. As luck would have it two other special ED teachers where in our group from the states. One taught HS in the Bronx of NY pretty cool. I have loved being able to hike for exercise here, these experience are pretty rare. I don't know of too many active volcanos you can climb in the states. I have been loving my stay I go hang out in the park in the afternoons to study and meeting some cool people. I love trying to speak with the locals. I met a nice lady and her daughter that was my age we did our best to converse with my limited Spanish and their limited English. The daughter did not seem to have a ring and was very good looking and friendly but I could not figure out how to ask her out properly in Spanish with her mom there. It would be really fun to go on a date with a local girl here. If I am lucky maybe I will get to go on one date before I leave.
