Had another sleep in then had breakfast at the hotel before catching the MRT down to Harbour Front to do some shopping and also take the cable car up to the Mount Faber lookout.
Arrived at Harbour Front and walked through the shopping centre towards the cable car. Ended up out near the cruise ship terminal which was crowded with people boarding/arriving on boats and cruise ships.
We saw the cable car cables emerging from a nearby building and asked on of the ship terminal security staff how to get to the cable car. They informed us that the cable car was closed for upgrades until next year. b*****!
Took some photos of the cruise ship terminal and across to Sentosa Island before catching the MRT up to Chinatown. We walked down Mosque Street to Sri Mariamman temple. The front tower was covered in scaffolding but the temple itself was reasonably busy due it being the Deepavali weekend.
We watched people pray and various ceremonies all serenaded by a small band of musicians playing music to go with the ceremonies.
Next we walked on to towards Thian Hock Keng temple stopping for a rest in a nice park nearby to the temple. The temple was quiet and after looking around for a while we walked back towards the Chinatown MRT station, had some lunch then caught the train back to City Hall for a rest at the hotel.
After our rest we caught the train out to Orchard Road and had a look around the shops for a little while before returning to the hotel and heading out for some dinner. We walked across to the Suntec City Mall and went to the basement food court which had a large number of food stalls and very cheap prices. We both had chicken rice which was great and then walked back to the hotel.
After sunset we went out onto our balcony and took some night shots of Marina Bay, the CBD and Colonial District before going to sleep as we had an early start the next morning with a trip to the zoo for breakfast with the orangutans.
