HA!!! Well... my first blog of my entire life, and its already fraudulent! Sometimes I crack myself up. We are not currently in Berlin. Or even close, for that matter. Right now, we are cuddled up in our cozy little apartment in exciting and wonderful, and oh so foreign Eureka California. We havent gone anywhere. We havent even gotten plane tickets yet. As a matter of fact Rachelle is SO excited that she is currently at my side passed ot like a light. haha. What we have done? Well looked at some cool backpacks online, checked out some hostels through the internet, and weve talked about the whole europe idea off and on pretty much all day since i brought it up at 4 o'clock this afternoon.

The way I see it is this. We're young, neither of us have anything tying us down... no carreers, we arent deep into school currently, no kids yet (just our awesome pooch maggie!)..., we're healthy, and if someone else can do it then we can too. As nice a place some may find Eureka to be, its getting older by the day, and has been since we both turned fifteen here.... Its time for us to do something crazy, reckless, and maybe even a little bit out of our scope. The daily drag of wake up, go to work, come home, go to sleep is far too average and normal, mayhap even boring for us. So while were young, its time for us to grab life by the short curlies, look it straight in the eye and give a good hard pull. Why, you ask? I'll tell you why.

Because complacency kills, my friends. Its as potent as a knife in the back, or the senile neighbor lady's 26 year old jello mold. And I have a decidedly strong aversion towards being killed... It also gives way to stagnancy, which, if youve ever smelled a north carolina swamp, you know is a stinky, awful situation to get yourself into.

All that being said, Ive decided to set this guy up to keep track of our progress up to and including our trip. Which we WILL go on dammit! lol. Anywho, this is tyler and rachelle signing off for the day.
