When booking a flight, one doesn't necessarily think about what time one will need to be at the airport. We arose at 4:30am and flew to Krabi, on the coast in South Thailand. We remained bleary eyed for the entire day. Krabi has become a kind of transit town, where holiday makers jump on an off boats to the nearby islands for snorkelling and partying. It didn't seem to have much soul, but we did manage to locate a few nice coffee shops and some face cream without whitener in (something Claire is definitely not in need of). We endeavoured to book our trip to Khao Sok National Park for the following day but our hostel and local travel agents were, to be blunt, being useless. We therefore set about having an email conversation with a company directly and managed to get it all sorted.
We eased our prior frustrations with a delicious dinner from a street vendor before enjoying a few too many drinks of unknown Thai alcohol. Possibly bad whiskey.
