CAPTAIN'S LOG. KOH RONG ISLAND, CAMBODIA. APRIL 15 2010, 1100 HRS.

Yesterday, after we dropped the anchor at the shores of Koh Rong, I began exploring the island. I showed my amazing survival skills immediately by almost stepping over a green snake which was right in front of me. Later I found out that the snake was a very poisonous one and that I was very lucky. So I made a mental note that in a tropical forest you really have to keep your eyes and ears open all the time, and to look where you're walking at.

Last evening me and the crew participated in the Khmer new year party. So, the Year of the Tiger began with alcohol and other local intoxicants. There are monkeys, serpents, lizards, crabs, huge spiders, green tropical trees, blue sea and white sand on the beach… I wouldn't be surprised even if I'd saw naked mermaids next.
