I know I know, I know what some of you are thinking.travelling around the world, in Bangkok and Claire goes to fitness first to work out...sad! But hey, it's my alcohol, my buzz, the thing that injects me with energy and fire in my belly. It's great to visit different countries and witness how other instructors teach, what elements they bring to a class from their culture. Also, to acknowledge the world wide phenomenon that is les mills. It's amazing to be part of something so huge! And even though I speak no Thai, we have a common interest and passion.
If you have ever tried a body jam class and thought it was difficult, try being taught it in Thai! As usual though, all les mills I structures are trained in the importance of prequeing, no just verbally but visually. The instructors prequeing was excellent and she also did some oldies that I already new :)
Combat followed with a lovely lady named Ning. She is most def my sister from another mother, all my favourite tracks mixed together. There was one participant who insisted on shouting "ayayayay" the whole way through the class. She must have relatives in Liverpool. I couldn't stop laughing.
Today is Friday, I have already taken part in body step (my guilty pleasure) now I'm just refuelling on the free coffee before combat and pump.
----------
Ok, it's 2.43pm. I've just taken part in combat and pump and now my body has the shakes...wicked!
Those who have been part of a body pump class will be aware of the first class after shakes where your muscles are wrecked! I knew this would happen, but what do I do, I think "b******s to it, let's do the biggest weights I e ever done". Seemed like a good idea at the time, think I will pay tomorrow.
Combat was brill, new mix, some tracks reminding me of buddies from back home.
Now I'm thinking a visit to the Starbucks I spotted on the way in, bitta shopping then plane to Sri Lanka. This is the life ay :D
