Day 21,22,23
Rest & relaxation
After 3 more days of hanging out in Smithers, BC my bike is finally fixed. It actually wasnt as bad as I was thinking. Sam henderson, the owner of Eyecandy custom cycles, and also a SUPER nice guy took care of my hurting honda today. The metal clanging sound was actually the chain. It was way loose and had to much free play in it. So he tightened it and showed me how to maintain it from now on myself. awesome! The radiator, I actually power washed out at a local car wash place. The oil seapage he also seems to think is not a big deal at all, just keep my eye on it. Bikes do this sort of thing. and since it wasnt at all connected to the clanking sound I heard, I'm OK with that. He couldnt however get me a rear tire, since all the shops were closed, and said it would take at least a day for one to get shipped here. So i'm better off riding into Prince George tomorrow and trying to get the honda dealer there to put one on, and not give me some BS 2 week waiting list crap. we'll see how that goes!
So, i got some rest, and chilled for 3 days. Though to be honest I'm raring to get back on the bike, especially since its been sunny, and warm since I've been here (figures, right?) Though for once..the radar in Canada shows no signs of rain anywhere NEAR here. so FINALLY it looks like i'll be riding in some good weather for a few days.
Nothing else too exciting to write about.
More adventures await...
