Today started foggy, damp and miserable so it was with some concern that we prepared to leave Chatham and relocate to Martha's Vineyard. But of course before that we needed to check out of where we'd been staying. Having read the hotel information pack it seemed easy, it could all be done via the TV. Wow woken up by the alarm going off at 6.30am this morning, switched it off, turned over and went back to sleep. Actually got up about 9am, much more civilised. I woke early today at 6.30am, Anne got up at 8am. Now getting ready for a days sightseeing around Newport before moving over to Chatham. I've been checking out the place we are staying at for the next three nights, Chatham Inn and Spa. It looks lovely right on the beach etc. I just hope the weather holds while we are there! Today we are travelling from Meredith to Newport Rhode Island for a one night stay at the Hotel Viking. The journey today was pretty good, long but of little consequence. Although I must say that drivers are the same the world over, don't adhere to speed restrictions, undertake and cut you up, just like driving at home! Today has dawned bright and sunny, temperatures expected to reach the mid 20's around 90 degrees C. Very nice, might have to wear shorts today, that'll frighten the natives! I think we are off to a Shaker village this morning, lots to see there we think. The bikes will all be leaving today their nine day rally ends at 6pm so we might be in for a quieter night (I hope).
