Cafe Diana: well, to call it tacky may not be kind, but...it is! LOL ...asking which toast I could choose from (thinking crunchy 5 grain) the choice was simple: white or brown! But 10 points for keeping Diana's memory alive! You can't help but think about her walking out incognito from across the road at the Palace security gates...there's even a news article on the wall that proves she did come across here one day for "...a glass of orange juice". Although, she doesn't look happy in the photo (perhaps she was really telling the owners to tone down the "tack" (-:
Oh well: I've been now: tick
So then to Kensington Palace to begin my queue to the Fashion story.
...firstly to be greeted by the woman with the most 'interesting' job in the world: sitting on trestle table wearing fashionable blue gloves, unzipping every backpack and feeling inside. Not looking! Just diving on in!
I was in absolute awe of the dresses. From the Honeymoon outfit from the river photo call right up to the sleek and sophisticated style of the '90's Diana; you can't help thinking how she had grown and found her absolute style. Her own classy and electric sense of beauty. She was more than an icon. She was one of the most beautiful women of our time! Without a doubt!
I was actually surprised to notice how tall and elegant and assuming she would have been walking into any situation!
How absolutely privileged I feel to be in the city she lived, the home she felt was her Sanctuary at this sad time: the 20th Anniversary of her tragic and untimely passing!
