I am really enjoying being at this Seafront Caravan Park, great location in Esperance. Friends, Noelene and Graham Cooney are also having a few weeks here, great to have their company. I call the Cooneys my travel mentors as they were generous enough to invite me last year to travel to Exmouth with them. This 6 week trip up the west coast of Western Australia gave me the confidence and the motivation to take off and travel on my own this year.

It is 6 months from when I made the decision to do this trip including purchasing my Sportsliner Avan. I have had a few practise runs in WA so feel confident for the interstate travels ahead, and the reality of doing it on my own.

Esperance is an important stop for me, I am enjoying the relaxation after the mental anticipation of leaving, the good byes and driving my first 750 k to get here. I planned to stay a week but have extended my stay for 3 more days as I am enjoying holiday activities and company of Noelene and Graham. We even celebrated Noelene's birthday.

Today Noelene and I met two young men from France, they came to WA looking for work. the money was getting low and they were finding the going tough but loved Australia.
