Pondicherry is a charming little town filled with history, spirituality, French heritage, beautiful beaches, calm / well planned streetscapes, handicrafts and unique life style.
Pondicherry and auroville (International Township - located near Pondicherry) are exposed to multi-cultural activities and it is one of the places where travellers can get exposed to so many languages, cultures and societies within a small area.
This little charming town has many cuisines, beautiful archetecture, boutiques, antiques shops, flower markets etc.
And this town owns "The Asia's biggest Statue for Mahatma Gandhi" and has ashrams of 18 saints (including Shree Aurobindo & Mother Mira). The best way to explore this city is by bi-cyling or walking around.
you can taste french, creole, italian, vietnemese and of course south indian delicacy.
My itinerary is small and I dint find time to enjoy all these funs here, as I stood and started to dine in a restaurant I was wondering to take activity here. I was watching a poster in the restaurant by "trip2pondicherry", these guys referes more activitites here like scuba, surf, cooking classes, park & lakes tour and list goes on.
So planning to come back to explore what these guys are suggesting.... Au revoir Pondicherry.
